August City Daily Photo Theme Day: Night

August 1. Time flies! The first day of the month is Theme Day for City Daily Photo bloggers. This month, the theme is "night". Yes, it's part of the palace. Again. I blush at this total lack of imagination, yet I like it at night! Happy Theme Day!

Too generic themes don't deserve too much effort. This is a very good year for clouds in France, I like the light on the Palace and in the sky.

With a buildings and gardens so beautiful you need not blush at the repetition. I am a very bad girl when and constantly repeat. This is such a deep Gothic image.

What are you blushing for? You can never take too many photos of the Palace! Great shot for the theme!

The combination of the sapphire blue sky and the golden palace is simply regal.

I do like your night sky. It is very pretty. Mine is on my Brookville Daily Photo.

It is a cool, 63 degrees here at 6:00 AM in Ohio on this August 1st, 2009. Not bad. I slept under a blanket last night. We set the coldest July ever recorded last month. I hope you will have nice weather this August.

What a fabulous photograph. I love your night sky - blue, black almost menacing yet what cold menace those amazing buildings. Superb. Well done.

Another beautiful sky over Versaille. I get the feeling that somewhere behind the clouds is a full moon causing the lovely blue glow.
The gold and the shadows of the palace remind me of the Louvre at night.
I can barely wait to return to Paris and visit your amazing Palace.

I thought this was a small village until I clicked on it and saw it is a city. Amazing how light makes things look totally different. It is a very nice night photo. I suppose you used a tripod to take it too.

I slept under a blanket last night. This has been the coldest July ever recorded here in Ohio where we live. And it was only 59 F here this morning. August is starting out to be more of the same. I fear a climate change is on the way and each year will disrupt the lives of more birds and butterflies to say nothing about the polar bears.

The dark sky gives quite the mood for the photo. Almost haunting like.

I like the capture of the sky!

You say you blush, but it is an entrancing image of the palace as it seems to be under attack by the skies.

Just enough light on the buildings to make them look mysterious. Sometimes less is more.

This is amazing! Gorgeous shot, Ciel!

I like it very much. The dramatic clouds give the palace a different mood or ambiance. And I think it's sort of neat to see the same shot under different circumstances.
