Les Grandes Eaux Nocturnes I : le bassin du Nord

Every Saturday during the summer months, at dusk, begin the magical "Night Waters" (Eaux Nocturnes) at the palace, a small imitation of what the royal feasts were. All the fountains are working to the sound of baroque music. This is the beginning of Les Eaux Nocturnes week!
-----------------------

At night everything must be so charming and those dry fountains really blow some water at last...

I adore the beautiful blues in your photos. Ah, I may need to spend more than a day there in order to see this at sunset. Lovely.

Looks and sounds so magical! If we were there, we'd be at the palace every evening this week.

Your photos are gorgeous!

Excellent photos and a great theme showing these fountains. Can you bring a chair or blanket and get on the grass to watch or must you stand?

It's fantastic on the photo, so it must be even more so in person. Gorgeous setting and sky.

AH! The royals really knew how to have a good time, didn't they? And now even the commoners can enjoy some of the splendor. I hope the weather is nice all week for the celebration.
