One last post of this year's splendour at the Spiritual Center of the Sisters of the Cenacle park before we move on to... well... er... more autumn but this time in the palace gardens!

We are having such a pretty autumn, despite the often grey skies, that VDP has gone a bit wild and is going to show you lots of seasonal photos! These were taken last weekend in the park of the Spiritual Centre of the Sisters of the Cenacle, which you had seen here in the summer.

Let's return to the peace and quiet of the Cenacle park, shall we? There's a lovely bridge over (hopefully not troubled) water!

Au parc du Centre Spirituel des sœurs du Cénacle, il y a ce joli pont !

"La Maison Blanche"

Doesn't this look a bit like the White House? A bit? A tiny little bit? It's the first thing that sprang to VDP's mind when she last visited the park of the Spiritual Centre of the Cenacle Sisters. Its façade on Avenue de Paris is very unobtrusive but the park side is gorgeous, at least VDP thinks so! The house once belonged to Louis Bontemps, first valet of the king's room.

Ça ressemble un peu à la Maison Blanche. Un peu ! C'est du moins ce que pensait VDP lors de sa dernière visite du parc du Centre Spirituel des Sœurs du Cénacle. La façade de l'avenue de Paris ne donne aucune idée de la beauté du bâtiment côté parc. Il fut la propriété de Louis Bontemps, premier valet de la chambre du roi.

When you want peace and quiet, you go to the farthest part of the palace's grounds. No tourists, very few people, no noise, lots of green.

When VDP took these pictures about two weeks ago, shearing season had apparently just begun for the palace sheep!

C'était le début de la tonte des moutons au château il y a une quinzaine de jours !

Au soleil

Playing soccer in Blaise Pascal public garden in Montreuil neighbourhood. When VDP took these pictures last week the pink blossoms hadn't opened yet but you can see them a few years back by clicking here or (which will also tell you about Blaise Pascal) and there was an autumn glory view here. Oh and there was another spring view with tulips here!

Une partie de foot au jardin public Blaise Pascal à Montreuil. Lorsque VDP a pris ces photos la semaine dernière, les fleurs roses des cerisiers ne s'étaient pas encore ouvertes mais vous pouvez les voir il y a quelques années en cliquant ici. Pour voir une vue orange d'automne, c'est par là ! Ah et il y a avait encore une vue printanière avec tulipes ici !

Presque de l'art moderne

VDP thinks the playground in parc de la bonne aventure is pretty cool and that this structure almost looks like modern art! Note the blooming chestnut tree in the second shot! It was in April...

These pics were taken on an April school holidays evening, after work, before VDP's break: fun in Parc de la Bonne Aventure. You can just about see Sainte Bernadette church in the first photo. I had shown it to you here from the outside and here was the peeking inside shot.

Ces photos ont été prises un soir d'avril de vacances scolaires, avant l'absence de VDP. Petits et moins petits s'amusent au parc de la Bonne Aventure.
