Les Grandes Eaux Nocturnes VI : l'apothéose

The Water nights invariably end in glorious fireworks above the Grand Canal! As a bonus, here's a (very) short video to give you a better idea of what it is like to watch the explosion of colours in perfectly arranged tune with baroque music.

Les Eaux Nocturnes s'achèvent par un feu d'artifice glorieux tiré au-dessus du Grand Canal. Une (très) courte vidéo en bonus, pour vous donner l'impression d'y être.

Thank you for the video. It was wonderful I loved the choice of music. Sometime, I'll do that at the ocean and see how it comes out.

I think you had a good time. Great photos, Ciel. They have this every year, right? Seems I remember posters advertising the 2007 event.

Claps! That must be a wonderful sight to behold!

This seems to be a new style of fireworks, particularly the feathery tops. I saw something very similar on our Fourth of July. They're very cool.

Wonderful post, as usual. I haven't figured out how to upload a video unless I get it from Youtube.
Thanks.

How nice to enjoy watching fireworks without shooing away mosquitoes. ;-)

This is fabulous. Me thinks we'll all be converting to video clips!

I loved it!!!!
I have had a hard time shooting firewirks. It seems I am either too early or too late. Since it is dark my camera's shutter stays open longer and then the splash is gone. I am working on technique though. MB

Nothing like a stirring crescendo and the pop of fireworks.
