Oh my goodness, VDP had forgotten about a November lunch at LM Caffè at Pullman Château hotel! Oh that Guinea fowl was so good and just look at that poached pear!

Eh bien voilà, VDP avait complètement oublié de vous montrer les photos d'un déjeuner de novembre au LM Caffè à l'hôtel Pullman ! Que c'était bon cette pintade et cette poire pochée !

Entrée, plat, dessert

First course, main course and dessert at La Véranda restaurant that you saw yesterday. Oh wait, sorry, let's start with afters! All this was scrumptious and washed down with a pretty good bottle of Margaux. Cheers and bon appétit !

Last Saturday, VDP took her parents to La Véranda restaurant at Trianon Palace hotel right next to the palace grounds for a bit of sheer luxury at lunchtime... The chef at the hotel is celeb' Gordon Ramsay and this place is the offspring of the main restaurant.

Samedi dernier, VDP a emmené ses parents à la Véranda de Gordon Ramsay au Trianon Palace, en bordure du parc du château, pour un peu de luxe à l'heure du déjeuner...

Aren't these gorgeous? They are the lilies that greet you at Trianon Palace hotel! Charlotte-Adélaïde enjoyed the place just as much as VDP and her friend did (and there's a distorted reflection of VDP in that second shot! Nope, sorry to disappoint, still nothing recognisable!) Un "afternoon tea" de luxe

Trust me, that thing was good. VDP is drooling at the mere thought of it! This was afternoon tea at Trianon Palace hotel which you had seen here. Actually, it was tea for the friend who accompanied VDP (and allowed her to taste it) and tapas for yours truly who at the time just had to have some foie gras with figs... 

Croyez-moi, ce sablé était une tuerie. Si la personne qui accompagnait VDP a opté pour un thé gourmand tout sucré, VDP avait envie de salé et a opté pour le foie gras... Ce fut une halte luxueuse et fort agréable au Trianon Palace !

A l'hôtel Pullman

This is a radical change from yesterday, isn't it? A long, long time ago, VDP showed you the entrance of Pullman Hotel, which is located on Avenue de Paris next to the king's small stables. Do you remember, not so long ago, VDP attended a photography conference by Hervé Ternisien? Well, it was held at the hotel and VDP loves this modern atmosphere!

Voilà un changement radical d'ambiance par rapport à hier, n'est-ce pas ? Il y a fort longtemps, VDP vous montrait l'entrée de l'hôtel Pullman. Vous vous souvenez, il y a peu, VDP assistait à une conférence d'Hervé Ternisien ? Eh bien elle se passait à l'hôtel et VDP adore cette déco moderne !

Novotel

The Versailles Novotel hotel is located on Boulevard Saint-Antoine. It is actually not in Versailles, shame on me, but in the neighbouring city of Le Chesnay. Boulevard Saint-Antoine is the limit of the two cities. I'm away for the weekend, see you next week!

L'hôtel Novotel de Versailles se situe boulevard Saint-Antoine. En fait, il se trouve sur la commune adjacente du Chesnay, le boulevard constituant la limite entre les deux communes. Je suis absente pour le weekend, à la semaine prochaine !

L'arche restaurée

The arch that allows entrance to the Sofitel Pullman hotel on Avenue de Paris has been wonderfully restored. It is all that is left of what was once the artillery riding school under Napoléon III. The gate is all that remains of the building of 1854.

L'entrée de l'hôtel Sofitel Pullman se situe tout près du château sur l'avenue de Paris et se fait par l'arche du portail de 1854. Il constituait l'entrée des anciens manèges d'artillerie de Napoléon III.

Food for Thoughts: "tea for two and two for tea..."

Recently I took my Mum to have tea/champagne at the Trianon Palace hotel for her birthday. Rob and Mandy's Food for Thoughts meme came to mind! It doesn't look like much but I can assure you it was delicious. Nuts, Japanese crackers and pistachio macarons.

Récemment, j'ai emmené ma maman prendre le thé/champagne au Trianon Palace pour son anniversaire. J'ai tout de suite pensé à Food for Thoughts de Rob et Mandy à Barcelone parce que ça n'avait l'air de rien ces noix, ces "trucs japonais" et ces macarons à la pistache mais que c'était bon !
