Le couvent des soeurs servantes du Sacré Coeur de Jésus

Avenue de Paris, yesterday afternoon, the convent of the serving sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. I'm not sure the translation is right, but it's literal enough! When I came home from the dentist's at around 9:00 pm, the temperature had dropped to about 20°F/-6°C.

Hier après-midi, avenue de Paris. En repassant vers 21 heures en rentrant de chez le dentiste, il faisait - 6°...

Seems like it is cold just about everywhere north of the equator

What a beautiful Convent. I went to a convent all my life and the Nuns never had a convent like that.
Look at the lovely lightening. Gorgeous.

How's the tooth? MB

The snow must lay another layer of silence on the convent. I am surprised by how much snow there is in your and Olivier's photos. Certainly more that here, but it's much colder in the central US.

These are so beautiful and impart a comforting hush. And how did you make out at the dentist? Are you feeling better, dear Ciel.

Very nice work! The blanket of snow does add to the solitude and serenity of the convent.

Quite lovely...can you get inside to see what there is to see?

20º is cold. I love snow pictures, though I must admit to not enjoying being out in the cold to photograph the stuff. Hard to have it both ways! Hope your tooth is better!!!

This is a really beautiful scene anyway, and the light is perfect. Some of the best scenes are in cold weather, I think, but it't not much fun to stand still and figure out how to shoot it. These are wonderful! Sorry about that tooth. I hope it's better now.

Very nice! The blue sky and the snow really make a nice image. It's cold here too.

It's like the convent is protected by a Centurian of Trees. Nature accents all of us in seen and unseen ways.

In any case, I'm sure the sisters have a "servant heart." They sure have a big place.

J'espère que le dentiste t'a donné un anti-douleur pour tenir le week-end!

The whole of Europe seems to be blanketed in snow.

L'hiver va bien à cette avenue, qui dénude les arbres, permet de voir les bâtiments aux toits d'ardoise et amène la neige. On pourrait croire, avec ces lignes, ce blanc, cs gris et ces bleus, un tableau de Buffet

Keep warm!! Your dentist must stay open late if you came home at 9pm!! Guess it's nice if he takes care of emergencies. No dentists around here would be so accomodating.

A beautiful place and a good translation.

Quite an imposing compound for a convent. Here the convents are quite small. Lovely winter pictures and great blue skies. Hope you received something for the pain. I hate toothaches. Feel better and stay warm.

Beautiful winter pix. I like the shadows of the trees. Ciel: It is a little difficult to be able to comment on your site every day do bear with me. You are in my thoughts. I wonder if your French would be more usueful in speaking Portuguese than my pidgeon Spanish

«Louis» hopes the dental work goes well for you. Toothaches can be among the most annoying pains we can experience.

Your translation is correct for the Sisters.

Beautiful convent! It reminds me a lot of the girl school I went to way back when, though. Hmmmm.

We keep hearing here about the crazy weather Europe is experiencing.
