It is beautiful and remarkable, Ciel. It is hard imaginine how much work it takes to maintain these gardens.

Pretty gardens - love those low growing flowers.
How fortunate you are Ciel to live so close to the chateau.

Lovely photo..I am reading a book about Marie Antoinette and just read about the famous Labyrinthe which was renamed later...it must have been great fun to design and build these beautiful gardens for the King and his court! The chateau belonged to all of France then and all were welcomed so long as they wore proper attire. If they could not afford it, it was lent to them at the chateau.

Ciel, slap with a wet noodle, but I must say that although your image looks fabulous, my impression is that the flowers are a bit hodge-podge...? Could just be my taste in formal gardens.
