Feu d'artifice du 14 juillet III (et clap de fin)

Two last photos of Bastille Day fireworks: Louis the 14th in the eruption.

Ou Louis XIV dans l'éruption.

c'est de la folie ce final, j'aime bien les ombres des personnes devant toi et au loin le roi, c'etait une nouvelle revolution ;)))

Your photos give me an idea of how spectacular this was.
I have to tell you that on July 14 I happened to take a look at a live webcam that is focused on the Eiffel Tower. (I visit the web site every now then for a little 5 minute vacation at my desk). When the site opened on this day, the Eiffel Tower was completely dark, not a light in site. I kept staring at the screen wondering what was going on and why the lights were out when I suddenly realized that out of the view of the camera, fireworks were going on. I could see the edges of the tower lighting up every now than when a bright flash happened. It was then that I remembered it was Bastille Day. So in a way, I got to see a tiny slice of the celebration. Of course, I wish I could have been there instead.

The images make me think that Louis was consigned to the underworld upon his demise. Probably deserved it.

The skies are ablaze. These look different from the fireworks we have. I had thought that they are all the same, but now I wonder.

C'est plus qu'un feu d'artifice! Et tous ces jeux d'ombres et de lumieres sont bien rendus. Bravo pour le final!

Beautiful but the sound is deafening. I think I can her it way over here. :)

Love this! It looks like lava exploding around Louis and then the silhouettes of people cheering - very nice.

I agree with T., these look like those images we see on tv when a volcano explodes. Outstanding shots, Ciel!
