Feu d'artifice du 14 juillet I

For those of you wondering what the crowd I showed yesterday was waiting for at 11 pm: at last. Bastille Day fireworks above the statue of Louis the 14th on Armes place.

Enfin ! Ce qu'attendait la foule que je montrais hier : le feu d'artifice du 13 juillet sur la place d'Armes au-dessus de la statue de Louis XIV.

Great! I have to try again, but I am not good at this.

Very nice, Ciel. I need to learn how to take pictures of fireworks.

How ironic. It would be even better if there were a statue of Louis XVI around.

I love fireworks, especially the mortar shells. These are great, I especially like the squiggly one in the bottom shot.

C'est comme le bouquet final de toutes les celebrations du 14 juillet vues dans les blogs...
Bravo.

The fireworks are extraordinary. I support the crown so that I find it more than irony that the Chateau feeds two frenzies! It supports itself through its exhibitions on the Kings and Queens and then on July 14, makes a mockery of itself! But that is tourism and greed, isn't it?

I'll bet it was even better in person!

Interesting that they do it on 13 July. Maybe that's why I always missed the shows!

@ Halcyon: they do it on the 13th in many places when the 15th is a workday as last Friday was.

Fabuleux! ;-) I don't watch fireworks that often, but the few times I've tried to photograph them, I've been disappointed.
