A slightly Art Déco doorway...

Un peu Art Nouveau...

I've not heard the phrase, "slighty Art Deco" before, but what the heck, I'll take your word for it! It is a cool doorway!

If this is Wednesday, it must be Doorway!

Retour au bleu works for «Louis», too!

I think it's interesting that the doorway to the right has a keystone above it and the left one doesn't. The right one also projects outward from the building. (Sorry, I observe the most bizarre things sometimes). I wonder if the left one was originally a window.

Regardless, the doors are both exquisite. The balcony's are really cool.

Is Le Royal a cafe? If I were sipping a coffee in front I'd expect something very impressive to come parading out of the blue door.

It is an impressive double bleu doorway, no doubt about it.

Oh, wow. What a fabulous photo you've taken of these splendid doors. And I really like those chairs, too.

Your city has such great details! I love the brown and the blue next door to each other.

How 'bout that? Dining outside one of the doorways to keep an eye on the other one!

Love the blue. And the door too. MB

It takes a good eye to see the deco. The outside more than the inside, I think. Versailles has many beautiful doors, that's for sure.

Very beautiful door. Versailles seems to have a lot of them.

A wonderful image. The two doorways are like a sister and a brother!

Blue must be a popular color for doors there.

The doors are so similar yet different in fascinating ways: colour, width.... This is so cool!

I like the house number above the doors and the reflection in the transome window. Those look like stock millwork elements that can be affixed. Interesting how the little grill proportions change from above the doors to those above the terrace. . .probably the terrace one was replaced at some point and not matched well. Love all your doorways into interesting spaces!
Thanks for the concern. . .I had such a full week and weekend that I got behind and had to play major catch up.
I love the color of those chairs.
