A daily photo blog since 2009
It must be nice to live where everything is so pretty. I know I say that a lot about your photos, but they really are pretty!By the way, school lets out late May and begins late July-early August. Is your school year very different?
I often go to farmer's markets here where I live but the displays never looks quite this inviting. it could be that French flair again for presentation..
Now this does make me a bit green with envy...it all looks so much nicer than the tasteless crud we get in our supermarkets. Nice colorful shots, Ciel. Cheery!
How cool, how yummy. mmmmmmmMMmMmMM!!lOOKS LIKE THE csa i GET FROM A LOCA FARM. fresh!!!MB
Hungry, hungry, hungry! It looks sooooooooo good.
They look like some fresh, colorful, delicious vegetables! Yummy photo
LD wrote what «Louis» was thinking! He really enjoyed visiting the markets in France. He often used photos he took in the markets on his now-defunct food blog.
It's always a pleasure to see these colors. Our markets are such a mess that it is usually difficult to take any kind of pictures.
Lovely pictures! English francophiles (j'en suis un) are so strange; we have really good veg shops and markets here, but we don't romanticise them in the same way as we do French ones.
Great shots, they remind me of our markets here in Normandy.~Maggie~
What are those, giant tomatoes? They look delicious!
The veggies look fresh and delicious! And the colours are vibrant.
Is coeur de boeuf a kind of giant tomatoe? Awesome!
Ciel-I love the 'magic wand' effect you've given my cursor!Appropriate because when I'm in Versailles -It's magic!Thank you,
I love markets like this, but there are so few remaining. There are so many colors and smells. I learned something new, thank you! I'm not familiar with "Coeur de Boeuf" and now know they are a variety of tomato.
Everything looks so fresh! Markets are so much nicer than big supermarkets :-)
Everything looks so delicious. Makes we want to go eat a salad.
My mouth is watering. I would not be able to pass such a display without purchasing some of those amazing tomatoes. We have a farmers market here on Saturdays. Why is food so much more appealing when you buy it outdoors rather than in a stuffy grocery store? :)PS I also like the magic wand effect as I pass over your pictures.
Quelles belles tomates!
@ all: these big tomatoes, called "coeur de boeuf" or "bull's heart" are among "forgotten" varieties that have lately become very fashionable. I don't know exactly how much has been dabbled with them in laboratories ;-) but they are quite tasty. Behind them are the dark tomatoes, also very fashionable.
Wow, what a nice market, those bull's hearts look amazing! I wonder if I can grow them. :)
Colourful produce. Those tomatoes are awesome.
All of this looks so fresh and yummy!God bless you!Cezar
How fresh and delicious it all looks. Charming shots, Ciel.Sharon
Very tasty and very colourful :o) Especially those wonderful beef tomatoes!!
Gorgeous, perfect photos of the market.
