I showed you the inside of Rive Gauche train station here. It stands right next to the town hall which is visible on the left.

Je vous avais montré l'intérieur de la gare Rive Gauche ici. Elle se trouve juste à côté de l'hôtel de ville, visible ici à gauche.

Hi Ciel, it's been a while, haven't been around to all the blogs out there nearly as much as I'd like, I have this awful thing known as a job which keeps eating up my time... hope you are well, and I see you've been keeping busy keeping the daily photos going... keep it up !
The two buildings are very different in their architectural styles, but they work together I think. How old is the train station? The inside view looks very modern.
I remember this very pleasant train station. We took the train from central Paris to Versailles and walked a few blocks to the Palace. It was all very pleasant and convenient. The only less than perfect part of the journey is that I seem to recall that nearby the train station in Versailles there was a McDonald's restaurant. Is that correct?
As an American, that is one thing I do not like to see when I travel abroad. We have too many of them in the USA already, and I want a different experience when travelling in foreign countries.
Je me souvenais de la belle vue prise a l'interieur. Voici la vue exterieure sous un beau ciel bleu. Bonne semaine!
Is zer a Gare Rive Droite?!
It's beautiful and so unlike our train stations here!
@ Dave: correct. McDonald's is just opposite. It is usually full of young locals but also seems to be a rallying point for... young Americans.
@ Leif: oui. I'll get round to showing it some day!
@ Bayside Life: it was inaugurated in 1840.
This is still fresh in my memory, a fine station perfectly placed near the Palace and the center. There were some works in progress then...
fait vraiment penser aux vieilles gares parisiennes. En travaux, bientot renové et toute belle;)
Nice architecture to show off those beautiful blue skies!
Looks awfully quiet. The tourists must have left.
Very nice. beautiful architecture of both buildings. It fits. MB
...and nice fluffy clouds to go with the station. What more could one ask for?
I'm impressed with a town that cares about the architecture of its train station.
Nice train station, I wish we had such stations too for the new metro lines in our city.
Gorgeous blue sky against the sandstone station. Makes me wish I was there!
It seems very tranquil for a train station area... :)
God bless you!
Cezar
Oh! les copieurs ! Ils ont une "Rive Gauche", eux aussi. Jusqu'à la colonne Morris !
