Food for Thoughts: "tea for two and two for tea..."

Recently I took my Mum to have tea/champagne at the Trianon Palace hotel for her birthday. Rob and Mandy's Food for Thoughts meme came to mind! It doesn't look like much but I can assure you it was delicious. Nuts, Japanese crackers and pistachio macarons.

Well, I would enjoy all of it, especially the nuts and pistachio macarons. I love everything pistachio! I think I'm addicted!

What an elegant place to bring your Mum to lunch!

Re the Reunion Center at Stone Creek - I have no clue why it is called that, but I shall try to find out!

My problem often is: Je ne comprends rien. (Or did I use that one on you before? Whatever, it's good practice...)

It appears to be an elegant place. Is it the kind of place where you have to whisper? And, by now is your mother used to you taking photos of the food whenever the two of you get together? Nice photos, Ciel. Glad the two of you had a good time. (My birthday is in August . . . )

My wife loves tea, and we often celebrate people's birthdays at tea at the Phoenician Resort, which is very near our house in Scottsdale. After champagne, we can order from a menu of lots of types of tea, and they bring about 6 types of sandwiches, followed by 4 types of scones, followed by about 6 types of desserts. The server always says "If you cannot decide, you may have one of each" and we always do.

I'll skip the the tea for all the rest!

That's a nice treat for both of you. I'm guessing that you have champagne that is not available elsewhere and the pistachio macarons sound pretty yummy.
