Le tapis de feuilles mortes, avenue de Paris

It was a November weekend... on Avenue de Paris. Not particularly cold, but wet.

Ce fut un weekend de novembre. Pas froid, juste mouillé.

One of the things I used to love to do in Rhode Island was walk on leaf strewn sidewalks, dragging my feet through the fallen leaves. This looks like a perfect weekend to me. Rain and all.

Look at that carpet of leaves! And if they're wet, walking through them would be like sloshing through snow...sort of. I'm sure we drove down this street on our way to Versailles, right? So beautiful!

It's like a dream. The color of the leaves is almost shocking; I think I might be like a kid and just run shamelessly through them!

Nice .
I am getting envious of countries that have fall, fallen leaves, and wetness.

Same here :)

These photos are extraordinary - they tell so well a story of a quiet autumn day.

I also like the red spots of a shawl, an umbrella, a car, and even a shopping bag. Wonderful capture, thanks for sharing.

I could fancy a walk down that street, kicking through the leaves, then darting into a cafe for a cup of french coffee.Instead, I am off on a dreary course with work which will BORE me to death xxxx

I always like the colorful last hurrah of the dying leaves.

A beautiful and colorful "tapis"!
Here the weather is not so good as well, but Autumn scenery is always wonderful even in a rainy day!
hugs and a nice Tuesday

Ca rougit sur tous les blogs ! Je reviens à la bonne saison. Si on pouvait nous mettre un peu d'éclairage dans le ciel pour sêcher tout cela, ce serait encore mieux.

Beautiful! The leaves on the ground remind me of what it's like here.

I don't think that you mentioned before that you go through Paris to get home.
I would have met you just about anywhere in the city. :(
