I remember this place ..... I've been in there. The area was crawling with people . . but I remember still. What a neat thing for me to see . . . while I'm back in my ordinary space here in Houston. Quick errand during lunch, huh? yours is the first place I check each day ... this is so fun for me!
Oh you went to a bookshop? I could stay for ages in one. I do love books. What a nice shot too. I hope you didn't get stay too long for your errand. MB
3 perfect subjects, the adorable green door, the huge column and so impressive sculpture.I imagine it's about some award from a victory after fight.I think it's not about religion. The stone floor also catch my attention, it's beautiful! Léia
By the way about books...I'm reading "Soie" by Alessandro Baricco, in French.I know, Barrico is not French, but my teacher said the translate is good. I'm keen on for reading French books, mainly because now I can understand!or I think I can understand! LOL! Léia
You are surrounded by so much history, style and elegancy .... ( not sure if my English is right here.) Anyway, your photo and music goes well together!:)

Great place to go at lunch. My problems is that I don't want to go back to work!
I have a doorway you might enjoy scheduled for Sunday. Not as grand, certainly not as old, but very 'Colonial'.
Now that's a bookstore I would like to explore.
Such a lovely atmosphere to do errands in!

Not a bad thing to have such a place at hand. Love the composition of the image around the door.
Classy, classic, cool …

I would love to be wandering around that bookshop - right now!! xxxx
A lovely door! And I like the way you've framed the photo with that column there. Hope you found what you needed there. :)
That's some statue next to the doorway! I'd love to spend some time in that bookshop :-D
Beautiful composition and I love the colour of that door.
Great doors. Glad they were open to give us a peek inside. Between the column, the sculpture and the doorway, this is quite the elegant entry.
OH! The palace has a book shop? Sounds like my kind of place. :)
@ Joy: thank you very much, it seems I can't return the favour!
@ Olivier & Halcyon : oui
@ The guy who thinks I'm stupid: making money on the internet? Duh...
@ MB: I got lucky! Most people were still visiting the palace before stopping at the shop so it was a matter of a few minutes!
I like this composition very much, Ciel!
