La forêt de Fausses-Reposes toute blanche

Well... I'm back from Germany and on sick leave until tomorrow. On my way home yesterday, this is what Fausses-Reposes forest looked like at the edge of town: winter wonderland!
--------------------------------------------
Me voici de retour d'Allemagne et en arrêt maladie jusqu'à demain. Hier sur le chemin du retour, la forêt de Fausses-Reposes était parée de ses atours de conte d'hiver. J'a-do-re.

I like looking at snow, just not being in it!

Hope you get to feeling better soon.

Looks like a lovely place to walk, if you were feeling well.
Prenez bien soin de vous.

This is a beautiful sight and I wondered if you took this shot from a train or stopped a car?

J'adore aussi! I hope that you are feeling better soon!

Did Germany make you sick? I have read that northern Europe had a very cold November. No snow here.

Winter wonderland is right! I wouldn't mind spending an hour or two meandering about that forest in the snow. That would be enough, though. It's very beautiful, but I like warm, and green, palm trees and beaches...

Hi again!

Re your comment on Stone Creek - the main building in the center is the Stone Creek Grille (very good food)...reminds me of an English pub with big stone fireplace...

On the right side of that building is a small golf pro shop.

The larger building on the right is where the golf carts are stored and charged and repaired.

You can also see part of the driving range (practice golf range) on the right.

Re your comment on Cedar Key: I believe those two cars are older MG's...I like them, too. I had a good friend who drove an MG in the 60s when we lived in Scottsdale. I'd guess both of these cars were in the parade which was held earlier that morning.

Re your "Sodom" verification...there are some rightwing Christianists in this country who believe that everything French is worthy of the fate of Sodom and Gomorrah!

Sounds like your holiday ended on a sour note. Take care of yourself.

Hi Ciel! You've been gone, you've been working, you've been sick (hope it's nothing worse than the sniffles!)... and I've been an absent blogger (also insanely busy). I scrolled down and saw lots of fun stuff I had missed. I'd like to walk in your winter wonderland for about ten minutes, then get back here to the tropics. Take good care.
