Weekend Reflections: décorations de Noël dans le quartier des antiquaires

Christmas decorations as seen last Saturday in the antiques district are reflected in a restaurant for James' Weekend Reflections. If you look closely, antiques are also reflected!

I like the reflections but my eyes keep going back to the lines of the structure, they are really fascinating (I'll forever be a dork).

As usual, your reflections are stunning - and very colorful!

I'm surprised that Xmas decorations are still up as of Jan. 15, though.

Interesting shot and reflection. My friend from Germany and Russia tells me that Christmas is celebrated for two weeks AFTER we celebrate in the US . . . so not too late for Christmas decorations to still be around.

I love the antiques districts in the village of Versailles! I have bought wonderful pieces from the shops.

Sympathique de faire durer les décorations de Noël, on peut ainsi les admirer plus à son aise.

The red decorations stand out against an otherwise subdued background.

I guess if they leave the Christmas decorations up long enough, the decoration swill be considered an antique.

I like the decorations too. Well the Epiphany was on the 6th and the Wise Men need to see red and shiny stuff too.
St. Valentine's Day is next. MB

@ Paulie & all: Christmas is celebrated in France and Germany on the 25th, not later. Every year the decorations stay on a little bit longer though, I have no clue why, probably just that they don't get around to taking them off...

Double prettiness.

Très intéressante la charpente métallique de cette halle, des tubes assemblés par soudure, une antiquité de quelle époque ?

Hmmm. I'm so glad Canadians are not the only ones who still have Christmas decorations up!
