Two statues, one the equestrian statue of Louis XIV pointing towards Paris, on 16 January with a not quite full moon. This was the day after yesterday's sunset!

Louis XIV qui pointe vers Paris, pas tout à fait la pleine lune. Le lendemain du coucher de soleil posté hier !

I love the blue sky and off white statues great photo!
You are becoming more and more creative! Super photos, but the second is outstanding!
Bon week-end et vous!
The first statue seems to be bathed in moonlight. And of course we now know Louis XIV was pointing at the moon, and not Paris at all. ;~)

Love the mood of both shots.
However, I imagine the first has a baseball glove on his hand waiting to catch the moon.
I am enjoying this series. The statue looks great under the moon. The color of the sky adds some ambiance.
Wow these are amazing with that moon!
You had the benefit of a very clear sky that evening, didn't you? I wonder how many statues Versailles has . . . These two are wonderful.
Those are so beautiful. I love the first one.
I love the moon being in both shots, the sky so blue. I'm reading "Les Miserables" - a rewrite by Jim Reimann. Such a different time.
Great positioning of the moon on both shots!
Tres joli moment pour prendre ces photos avec la lune avant que la nuit devienne noire.
And with the moon, nice shots!
I really like that second one showing the way to Paris.
These are so evocative. Wonderful.
Point me to the or fly me to the moon.
Excellent shot Ms. creativity. MB
Do you know the way to Paris. How wonderful to live with such great sculptures. I like the second statue.
They both look like they're reaching out for the moon! Great photos, Ciel :-D
That's such a lovely blue sky... day no more, still not all night. The details of the statues reaching for the moon show marvelously.
France is very good at commemorating events with wonderful statues!
Looks like they are playing a game of tennis with the moon.
You really know how to make a girl long to visit Europe again, don't you?
Beautiful shots! I love the color of the sky!
The first is spectacular!! Well done, Ciel.
