This is an antiques dealers passage in the -yes- antiques district. This photo was taken mid January, there were still Christmas decorations there!
-----------------------

I love the red and blue in the photo. I wonder if they ever sold anything that belonged in the chateau of Versailles. I have bought a few small pieces of porcelain from some of theses shops.
I can relate. I hate to take down my Christmas decorations too. Nice color.
Better than black bunting. Not resting in peace that is.
I think the trees are nice (I have shots with Christmas decorations still coming)!
I would not have expected solid glass door as an entrance to a French antique shop.
We ran into a restaurant today in Cedar Key that still had Xmas decorations up...sheesh!
Are you an antique person. I mean, do you like to shop for antiques? (I'm an antique person!)
It is an attractive shop...and a very nice photo with great colors!
I love antique shops, and am looking forward to seeing some in France. I love the blue doorway in the yellow building.

Believe it or not, many places in Ontario still have Christmas decorations up too. :) The idea of an antiques district sounds very appealing to me.
Now that is bright! I wonder if it draws people into the store.
I was out with my camera today and saw holiday decorations everywhere. It is getting old in the commercial areas. Many homes here keep simple wreaths on the door until almost spring. I think the idea is that the winter can be pretty dreary, and the wreaths dress thing up a little.
Nicely done, Ciel. I like the banting.

The red bunting and trees add a very regal touch to this passage. How great to be able to walk through those doors and see the antiques...

A bit too modern of an entrance for an antique store for me. Although, it does make window shopping easy, doesn't it? Regarding Christmas decorations, I just took a picture today which I plan to post later this week along with the question: how long is too long to keep this stuff up?
Our neigbors just removed their decorations a couple of days ago and I was not complaining at all.
I like to browse antique shops. Very interesting, I think. MB
No no Jack Reacher is staying home. MB
Always good to wander in these, and think wow look what they are charging for that or we had one of those , but.....!
I like the colours in your previous posts.
OK I'll go to bed. MB
We will have Christmas decorations around until next Easter...
I like the idea of a "private theme project"... like your Wednesday Doorway, or Oakland's Monday Mural... both of which are fun. But I haven't yet found the right theme for me... Maybe it will come to me... maybe not... Que sera, sera... :-D
The Christmas decorations really make this entrance special. Love the colors!
oh i love antique shopping and this shop would pull me in!
Christmas decorations with a very French flair! BWR!

I really like the red sash between the lamps.
Funny..I always wonder what the "proper" time is to take down decorations. After a certain point it's sort of annoying!
I didn't realize it was Christmas decor until I read your words. . . I thought they were two lighthouses! I guess you know what was on my mind! BTW, I leave my Christmas tree up all year! Right after Thanksgiving, I take the ornaments off and dust them and return them to the artificial tree. One can celebrate Christmas in their heart all year long so why not be reminded.
I'm sure what passes in the US for antiques would not make the grade where you are. Colorful shot.
I love this kind of store!

I would love to browse around in the interior of the store.
