Soldes

I bumped into this bloke a week ago. The winter sale began on 12 January for five weeks. As usual, I did not find anything yet though.

You must keep looking... you owe it to all of us who cannot be there! He is trobooogosse (adulterated French)

Your mannequins look as weird as ours do...actually, yours are not as weird as ours are! At least your guy has hair ... he just looks a little pale!

I really like the French idea of sales 2X a year! We have sales every day everywhere all the time so they usually don't mean all that much. You'd be crazy to buy anything at full price!

He looks like he could use a vacation on a tropical island. Come to think of it, so could I! Does this mean I am a mannequin? So many questions, so little time.

I hate going to a sale and not finding anything. I do like what he's wearing here.

Not much of a conversationalist, was he?

He looks very casual for you just bumping into him. Well he is a little pale though. MB

He looks as if he needs some sun. I'm in that same mode with shopping myself, I look and find nothing. How can this be?! I'm a girl after all! :)

I went sale shopping, but only liked the new stuff that was just coming in!!! Your guy looks as if he has turned blue in the cold. xx

Poor fellow could use a little color in his cheeks.

Does that mean 50% off in the windows?

Nice way to bring passers-by in!

@ Kaori: yes!

He is the strong silent type, Ciel.

Re your comment on HDP, yes, it does look like Boston. The state houses in Boston and Hartford were both designed by Charles Bulfinch two years apart. If you search for Bulfinch's entry on Wikipedia you will see photos of both state houses and will see that the Hartford state house is like the scrawnier little brother to Boston's. Boston has a better site (on a hill) and they kept the modern buildings a little further away.

Five weeks' worth of sales?! Wow. Do the signs on the window mean 50% off? I hope your guy isn't deterring customers being so stoic and quiet.
