L'automne se transforme doucement en hiver

Some of you might remember this little house in the summer. Have a look, it's this way. It is located on the edge of town, just opposite the entrance to Fausses-Reposes forest.
---------
Vous vous souviendrez peut-être de cette maison en été. Non ? Alors regardez ici. Elle se trouve à la lisière de la forêt de Fausses-Reposes et du département des Hauts-de-Seine.

Who could possibly miss this? I think it is just as stately and elegant in the winter and in all the summer glory! Is it a private home?

While the bright colors of the summer pic are inviting, I really like this winter shot. I love seeing snow at this time of year!

Cool! I've always wanted to take a photo from the same location each season. I really like the style of that house.

What a cute little house. I certainly wouldn't want to get up on that roof.

I love that house - it kinda looks like a gingerbread house - yumm!

Elle a un petit côté maison de conte de fées,surtout avec la neige; mais est-ce celle de la sorcière ou de la gentille princesse?..

Yes, that's it, a gingerbread house! Leif is right.
I'd like to walk on the snow in your woods.

Interesting stonework, I bet a geologist would have a good time identifying all those. I wonder if they are local stones?

The snow is quite convincing as a prelude to winter...

Very different from the summer version. But still beautiful.

Ca pourrait être une maison de retraite.....J'sais pas, j'dis ça à cause de Fausses-Reposes. Ca me chiffonne cette appellation.

A charming little place.

I recognize it as the same place...but it sure does look different in the snow.

It looks quite different, but the house is as lovely as ever :-D

Jack Reacher, eh. Well there was no body in the pond but there was a beautiful woman standing by (hahaha).
I recently read 61 Hours and am waiting for the latest, Worth dying For, to come out in paperback or maybe I will buy it in hardback. MB

What an interesting looking home.

Autumn seems to have passed us by and I am hoping winter will make an appearance soon.

I have read every single one of the Jack Reacher novels. You don't need to read them chronologically but I wanted too and it helps you understand him more. MB

You really do know how to make a fabulous post with photos and music and a bit of history. Thanks for this post.

such a wonderful house, with a nice steep roof to let the snow slide off.

Doucement??? :-))) It looks freezing, I wonder what it will be like in January!... Northern Portugal is all white for, at least, a week, which usually happens (and it might not happen) in January/February.
Love this small house by the way.
