Après la galère, la beauté

The reward for chaos is sheer beauty. I was lucky to be able to work from home so at lunchtime I sneaked out yesterday and this was what I saw on Avenue de Saint-Cloud.

It's starting to look a lot like Sweden!

It is lovely; the white snow and blue sky.

I must admit that this is truly magnificent! What a delightful day it must have been. I can smell that fresh, clean air and the crunch of foot on fresh snow.

Wow! Well worth it, I'd say. Your top pic is stunning. Nothing like a fresh blanket of snow and a bright blue sky to brighten up the scenery. Glad you got to work from home -- well deserved after yesterday's ordeal.

See, I told you you live in a fairytale land! :) And yay, you got to stay home, that in itself is worth the snow!

Gorgeous in France but not seen here yet at all. The world's weather seems to get more and more irregular. Driving home tonight, I heard a news story on the radio about the effect of higher temperatures and less rain on farmers in Mexico. Much of Europe is in the freezer. There's no place safe.

Isn't it amazing how clear and beautiful the sky is after a nasty storm? Versailles looks like it came from a fairy tale.

I actually miss the snow. These are so beautiful.

Yes I don't blame you for the rant. You could have made better time walking! Interesting comment about chaos transformed to beauty. I'm glad you were able to see both sides - and share the better half!

Beautiful. Fresh snow seen under a deep blue sky is beautiful. Glad your sprits are lifted today.

To work from home is great: no dress code, no commuting and plenty of pictures to take in moment like this...

This is what comes to mind when I hear "winter fairyland!" Despite the chaos, I love this weather :-)

Great snow shots....I can feel the cold.

How beautiful, Ciel. We have yet to see snow this year.

A nuisance it may be but it does make the whole place look rather special.
