This is the waiting room for guided tours and conferences at the palace. I just love the modern decor! Those of you who are following VDP on Facebook might guess that this is where VDP got her annual palace pass about 10 days ago!

It seems VDP is one of the unhappy few whose feeds aren't updating. Google seems to be aware of the problem so keeping fingers crossed...

Simplement bizarre. Transition from this room into the palace would be a shock. The benches (I suppose) could be cots in an emergency evacuation center.

Love that hand holding the shelf.

I think the modern waiting room is a great idea. The transition must be fantastic.

Quite a contrast between the modern furnishings and the room itself!

This looks like a place that Jean Cocteau would have enjoyed waiting (that hand-held shelf looks right out of La Belle et la Bête). Nice shots!

At first glance, I thought those were cots in the first shot. Unusual!

Like Michelle, at first I thought the benches were cots. I must be sleepy. ;))
