Sign Series: enseigne I

I love this sign, it makes me want to ride in a carriage... Seen in Porchefontaine neighbourhood.

SHEBAM ! POW ! BLOP ! WIZZ !"

I like the sign, too, but wonder what connection there is between the sign and the restaurant?

Yes, a very fine sign with lots of detail and character. They have quite an extensive wine list :-)

Indeed, the metal work is awesome. It looks like a fun carriage to ride in too. Terrific image.

That is a nice sign. I have seen similar ones in New England; we like the image of horses and carriages. I have also seen weathervanes with carriages.

This would require wearing something long and elegant and 18th/19th century, I think.

Well, we got carriage rides here if you're ever desperate. Oh for the good old days when TWA had non-stop service from St. Louis to Paris.

Great sign! It does remind me of something we would see on the east coast.

I was too busy looking at the writing to see the iron work above it. I like the shots in your two previous posts.

That sign is a work of art on it's own I think Brattcat. If the food is as good as the signage, fantastic!

I never miss one of these fancy signs, when in Paris...

We have another version of this (of course we always have the rougher version!) stagecoach ride.

Wouldn't it bs wonderful to ride around in a carriage in Versailles? I would love to do that too and wear one of those gorgeous 18th century dresses - but not in the summer heat.

That is a great sign but, I'm wondering if the food is good here!

It imparts the feeling of elegance and good service. think you need to go inside and see if I'm right. :)

Is there somewhere you can rent a carriage and take a ride around a park? What a lovely idea.
