Le bassin de Latone

Leto fountain in the palace grounds: I showed it to you here at night and explained its allegorical meaning. Also here with a video.

I took photos of this fountain but from a distance away...I should have gotten closer, obviously. That's got to be one of the world's most beautiful fountains!

Just looking at this cools me off, it's been unusually hot here of late.

By the way...I miss your posts in "Flavours"!
One question, Could we use white wine instead of Champagne in that recipe? Well...just thinking here.
But Champagne is perfect with that recipe ( and much more elegant ) :)

And...as I don't eat red meat, chicken is one great subject for cooking here, I love the recipe of "Chicken à la Ciel de Quimper",it's delicious!

Beautiful, Ciel. Your second shot shows me that I need to shoot fountains at the base, too. I usually shoot the top. Good work.

For a second, I thought the water was bursting from the statues head and I thought, huh. But then I see from previous posts that the water is coming from below...makes sense. This really is a fabulous fountain :D
