Belle bête

I'm sure you can tell me what this is, right? There are tree shadows on Artsy Versailles.

Vous ne sauriez pas par hasard ce que c'est ? Il y a des ombres d'arbres sur Artsy Versailles.

Wow, that looks like a Ford Thunderbird from the early 60s. Maybe 1963 (it was a very good year, for me, and for cars).

It looks like a car with character Ciel, but I would have no idea. Will check back later and see if anyone has been more helpful.

I never win these car identification contests. It has to be a Thunderbird. With those fins, it could even be late 50s. I will go with 1961 T-bird. What do I win?

That's when a Thunderbird was really a Thunderbird. Ford really screwed up on the later models. Every young man of my vintage wanted one of these!

We call cars this size "land yachts." They do make a big impresson.

Thunderbird's the word. What a cool car - glad you were able to capture its passengers on their joyride!

Kay's right, it's a t-bird. <> from Sunday Bridges would know the exact year. Looks like a fun ride!

Now that is an awesome classic. How fun it would be to cruise your city in this.

Courtesy of the Beach Boys:

Well, she got her daddy's car
And she cruised through the hamburger stand, now
Seems she forgot all about the library
Like she told her old man, now
And with the radio blastin' goes
Cruisin' just as fast as she can, now
And she'll have fun, fun, fun'Til her daddy takes the T-bird away(Fun, fun, fun, 'til her daddy takes the T-bird away)

Love the car and the Beach Boys quote!

Quite a T-bird.

In superb condition, this white T-Bird! Nice to look at, but I have never liked driving in an open sports car... the wind slamming into my face just doesn't appeal to me... nor the way it straighten out my natural curls... LOL.

[Nope, I didn't go rowing... was walking solo; but crowd activities like this isn't my cuppa tea anyway, even if I really like seeing others enjoying themselves.]

When I was a teen, my friend had a car similar to this. It was long and wide. We called it "The Boat".

That is definitely a Thunderbird. Those were one of my favorite cars back in the 60's.

When my father was stationed in France, we brought over our 1960 Chevrolet Impala two door. It had big fins and all the locals hated how big it was.

I can't tell one car from another but this one looks very snazzy.
