Wednesday Doorway: Collège Raymond Poincaré

Still showing archive photos, still jet-lagged! This is the door of Raymond Poincaré middle school which was formerly a girls school. Raymond Poincaré was Président de la République from 1913 to 1920. There is a statue on Artsy Versailles today.

Encore une photo de mars, toujours encore jet-lagguée... Raymond Poincaré, au cas où vous voudriez vous rafraîchir la mémoire, c'est par ici. Il y a une statue sur Artsy Versailles aujourd'hui.

Aha, you got me. I clicked on "Artsy Versailles" —expecting a statue of Raymond Poincaré. LOL
My husband and I were just talking about all the things we didn't get to do because we weren't in Paris long enough, and, of course, we mentioned Versailles. Looks like we'll be back some day.

The door and entry way are spectacular, Ciel. Rest up and get over the jet lag. I am sure your archives are bulging with terrific images.

Welcome home.

Really nice architecture. If you had not explained the school's name I would have thought it referred to Henri.

Biz et courage pour le jetlag!

I imagine that he has nothing to do with the Poincaré conjecture...

I love all the glasswork around the doorway. Rest and get your internal clock back where it belongs. :)

A very nice door for a school.

Looks like an Art Nouveau entrance... a bit of an odd contrast to the red brick walls of the school. Cool capture.
