I love Toile de Jouy and antique French furniture. Nice photo.
An arts and crafts show really becomes worthwhile when it features artists and craftspeople doing their thing!
Re Images: I don't know what the hell is wrong with that blog, but I'm seriously considering canning it. I'll give it another couple of days. Or I might kill it tonight!
There's always such a dreamy quality to your photos.
I love the motion of the hammer, splendid timing!
I would love to see the finished product.
I would love to see the chair in the first photo when it's finished! Great shots!
I admire people who can make things like this since my manual dexterity is... well, I can turn a steering wheel.
I wish I was there.
I am putting in for grand weather for the next few weeks. MB
These are lovely, and I'm with Bob on the manual dexterity side.
We live in a time with too many so-called 'artists' and too few real craftsmen like these.
I am always impressed with people who have talents like this!
Well done with the timing on the hammering shot Ciel, nicely done :o) Must have been fascinating to watch them work.
I would love to have some for my chairs. :)

A nice long tradition. Toile is so luxe; I'm glad there are people keeping this skill alive and fresh.
