I'm a week late posting this. On top of the farmers market, last Saturday the Versailles Lions Club held a chocolate event at the big market. In aid of blind people. Isn't that cool?
-----------
J'ai une semaine de retard avec ce billet. En plus du marché de producteurs, samedi dernier le Lions Club de Versailles organisait la journée du chocolat au marché, en faveur des malvoyants. Ce n'est pas cool, ça ?

A chocolate event? Sign me up! I'm pretty sure I eat chocolate almost every day. Just looking at the advertisement makes me crave it. The wrappers in second shot are very colorful.
A chocolate event for blind people. Tasty!
Now, what are they gonna do for the obese?
;-)
Ah, Ciel, I have no idea how the Royal Gorge got called "royal." Maybe whomever named it thought it look regal? Regnant?
Help for the blind and the visually impaired is the Lines Club’s project. In this country, they collect unused eyeglasses and get them to people who need that prescription. In Versailles they apparently take a multi sensory approach. Good idea.
Noble cause. I find it interesting that the Lion's appear to be international...but I guess everything is these days.
The Lions Club is world famous for their work to improve vision and to help the blind.
hee hee....
«Louis» sees some Sucettes Barnier in the last image. He sells those at the farmers market - they are Kid Magnets!
;-D
I would have been there for sure!!!
So Good Morning?
So how much did you buy???
For a good cause, you know. MB
This is even better than the market! I love chocolate in any form!
Oh, oh... don't tempt me. Chocolate, GOOD chocolate, is my only sweet temptation. Kudos to the Lions.
A journée du chocolat?! Vraiment, tres cool!
The colorful edibles are so pretty, and the hands too.
A Chocolate Event - in Versailles - that has certainly got to be where heaven is!!! xxxx
interdit pour moi, sinon je finis la, journée avec une crise de foie ;o)) j’espère que tu as bien profite
Service organizations do such fine work. How fun for you to report on it!
Moi je veux bien aider! toujours prête à me sacrifier quand il faut manger du chocolat!
That's fantastic! They know how to catch everyones attention...who can resist chocolate? :-D
Lovely, what a great idea. Chocolate also provides psychological support, so it does double duty.
Thank you for sharing this.
A yummy initiative for the greater good!
God bless you!

The Lions Clubs do such wonderful work. Hope their chocolate event was successful--but how could it not be. Everyone loves this confection.
Sounds like a wonderful event and for a good cause too!
Yes, smart idea, and also chocolate involved in anything is always a good idea :)
Any excuse for a chocolate lover to buy chocolate! Ü I am not crazy for chocolate but I might have bought some for the cause to give to friends. . .
I bet this was a well-attended event!
