Chapellerie et ganterie

You may have noticed in yesterday's post that a hat is an absolute must at a Versailles wedding. This shop, in the rue des deux portes, has a wonderful choice of hats for the season.

Vous aurez remarqué hier qu'il n'est pas de bon mariage versaillais sans être chapeautée. Voici le très joli choix de la chapellerie de la rue des deux portes.

What a great selection! Which colour did you wear?

I bet you'd be charming in one of these beauties, Ciel.

Amazing. I just don't see many women's hats anymore. And I don't see women wearing hats, either. So which one did you buy to wear to the wedding? Was that you in the blue hat?

Nice choice for your photo today! Lovely composition, they look like a bouquet of flowers.

I don't see how workers take the heat, I'm outside for 30 minutes and I'm a mess at this time of year!

Very colorful. There is something about a woman wearing a gorgeous hat that gives her a sophisticated air.

Wonderful picture, I thought these things were a bit out of fashion, but I was obviously ignorant and wrong.
We saw three weddings yesterday and you are right about all of them!

OH!!!

herzlichst

I wish women around here would wear fancy hats like that, too! C'est dommage!

Such pretty hats! I always think of women in hats when I think about France.

The hats are gorgeous. I think gloves would be a must with one of these.

I think weddings should be attended in costume, so this is perfect :)

Weddings are one of the few events where people wear hats these days, kind of sad that.
This shop looks very traditional and inviting, nicely captured Ciel.
