La cathédrale Saint-Louis

Saint-Louis cathedral on Saturday afternoon. Baking hot. Thankfully we are now back to more normal August temperatures ! I should be back today. Keep your fingers crossed and thanks again for visiting and commenting during my silence!

Comme dans un four... Heureusement, nous sommes revenus à des températures plus normales depuis ! Je devrais être de retour aujourd'hui. Croisez les doigts et merci encore pour vos visites et commentaires pendant mon silence !

That is a beautiful picture! I like the refreshing dots of white umbrellas (completely dwarfed by the enormous catehdral :). Thank goodness for falling temps and (fingers crossed) improved internet!

It doesn't look like many people braved the heat to people watch outside the cathedral.

Hope you will indeed return from your Internet exile.

The umbrellas have a nice softening effect.

J'aime bien le contraste blanc/noir, lourde cathedrale/parasols legers.. Contente de te savoir de retour!
Fait meilleur ici aussi.

Good to hear you are soon to be connected and the heat has passed. A lovely view of the cathedral!

re the rock, I was surprised it was there until I realized it was attached.

Where have you been?

This shot does give the impression of hot temperatures. What are the umbrellas about?

The place is so grandeur yet beautiful to admire.

This is a great image to keep for years to come.

On a not so hot day this would be a wonderful place to sit and admire the cathedral Ciel, or maybe now sipping a ice cold drink? Fingers crossed your internet is fixed.

We visited this church in good company, during a lull in the monsoon...

Lovely cathedral and the sky is gorgeous!
By the way, our flower clock, works very well:)

Please send some nice summer temperatures this way.
If it was too hot, I could relax under the "umbrella"with something cold to drink, or perhaps had a walk inside the Cathedral.

I like the contrast to the café setting! It reminds me this I posted a couple of days ago: http://mendoncajose.blogspot.pt/2012/08/the-tourist.html :-)
