March CDP Theme Day: your favourite part of town

Well... it's the first of yet another month! I don't have a favourite part of town, but truth be told, I really like Saint-Louis neighbourhood where you see this kind of village type scene. Happy Theme Day and happy March! Click here to view thumbnails for all participants

Déjà le premier du mois suivant ! Je n'ai pas vraiment de coin préféré mais j'avoue que j'aime bien le quartier Saint-Louis où il y a une atmosphère de village... Bon mois de mars !

Hi I'm planing to visit France and Versailles sometime in the next year. I would love to meet you and have you show me some of the secrete places around your wonderful village of Versailles.

This looks like a great place to live. I love the wonderful blue color of the doors and windows - and the matching bicycles!

The blue makes is such a lovely scene BUT it is the BENCH that completes it for me!

This corner manages to look both cozy and elegant. Such a peaceful shade of blue.

That's almost too perfect, Ciel! It looks like a postcard. A painter would love to work from this photo!

Someone likes blue, how else could you get the bike and house to match color?? The cobblestone sidewalk and the old bench really tell a charming tale. Any idea what that is above and to the right of the window?

Simply charming...yet again.

Around the same time the Costner movie came out, another movie came out too with Kurt Russell (Tombstone I think), have you seen that one?

This is wonderful, Ciel. The blue shutters, door and trim are a very subtle blue hue, and finding a pair of blue bikes leaning there was a stroke of good fortune, or of genius, or of both! Nice.

How charming and very romantic looking. I love that the bike color matches the doors.

I love the cobblestone street...makes me think of a mall in Maryland who may have copied this now that I see it...very, very nice neighborhood. I wonder if there are yellow trimmed buildings nearby...

This is absolutely charming and a lovely photograph. It would be my favourite too, I'm sure. We all seem to love the older parts of our beautiful cities.

Choosing a favorite part of town was surprisingly difficult for many of us at CDP!

The is a beautiful shot. I love how the white wall just above the bike seems to glow with it's own internal light.

Lovely image, Ciel! Especially warm, inviting and right for the theme.

Definitely has the makings of a postcard -- very lovely. The matching blues are terrific. Good eye!

You illustrate today, as you show the world frequently, that there is much more to Versailles than a palace.
