This is just a gorgeous photo from any perspective...the composition, the color, the subject matter...I especially like how the tree branches seem to scatter about the sky and the more stable steeliness of the lamp. Great lighting, too!
I think that's interesting. Most American streetlamps are the usual utilitarian nothing. However, there is an architectural trend towards much nicer design on bridges and overpasses. No idea why just there.

I can see why this is your favorite. Very stylish. (Is it really true I'm the first one to post a comment today?! Unheard of!)
It is a beautiful lamp and I see the early signs of spring in the tree behind it. :)

I don't blame you -- I love it too!
The lamp has a golden crown. Very suitable for VDP.
Re today's photo, I bought the Guinness, set up the photo, clicked, then asked the bartender to give the Guinness to someone else.
C'est vraiment joli ! J'aime le style.

That really is a lovely lamp. It's not like most plain ones you see everyday.

A "VIP" lamp! And the light tree next to it adds to the beauty.
Never seen a streetlamp anything like that in my life.Amazed by the artistry in everyday objects over there..
That is a nice lamp; elegant and perfect for it's surroundings.
A streetlight with a grown of gold. Fit for a Queen. MB

Même les lampadaires sont royaux et couronnés a Versailles!tout un style de vie! :)

Yess, very pretty through the branches. I miss your "cool" tickbox.
I was preparing something like this for tomorrow, with a different background.
Il est d'époque ?
On y brule la chandelel par les deux bouts ?
(Je regardais hier soir le pied de ceux de la place de l'Hôtel de Ville de Paris)
That's very elaborate for a street lamp! Good timing; looks like it will be obscured by leaves soon.
like spring taking our faces between her palms.
Girl, you are so right!
It's beautiful and your picture is outstanding!
Fabulous work with your camera and composition!

This looks like a page out of a magazine... the trees, the sky and the lamp all work together... excellent!
Bon weekend,
Genie
It is a beautiful lamp, and for some reason fits with the branches. I like the crown it is wearing!
It goes nicely with the tracery of the tree branches too. Hope you have a great weekend!

le printemps arrive et les lampadaires sortent de terre ;))
When I was in London I took so many pictures of lampposts. They're so beautiful!
