Jordi Savall à l'opéra royal

Jordi Savall, one of my heroes, conducted the Concert des Nations orchestra in a fabulous rendering of Jean-Philippe Rameau's Naïs (1748), Les Indes Galantes (1735), Zoroastre (1749) and Les Boréades (1764) orchestra suites composed for king Louis XV. Bravo, bravissimo.

Although I am not familiar with that music, I can imagine what an exciting experience this must have been! And I really like that first picture...I'm sure it wasn't easy to get that!

You're making me feel worse for missing a classical concert here last Saturday... Not the same calibre of theatre, though!!

These are stunning shots, Ciel! I like the standing orchestra in the first and the wonderful columns of the second. I can sense the wonder of hearing them play. Wonderful!!
