There's a fine line between shabby and chic... A touch of careful restoration certainly looks like an attractive option in this case.

un petit coup de pinceaux ne lui serait pas de trop ;)

What do you suppose it looks like inside?

If shabbychic were a word it would be an oxymoron. Shabby is right, chic I'm not so sure. Perhaps elegant at one time...

Oh this doorway speaks to my "handy man special" soul. I love this doorway. It just needs some TLC.

But you can still see the beauty, so chic in a way!

This looks like a shabby neighbourhood ready for transformation into chic. It has great "bones" so give it a few years and I bet it will be a trendy area.

We have the technology and 10 fix-it-up channels in High Definition.

Definitely shabby. Could be chic. I love the shot (and the door)!! The details in the corbels are great and so are the windows.

La splendeur est passée, mais le charme est resté..Un coup de peinture gacherait même peut-être le charme en question!

On aurait vraiment envie de former une petite équipe et de venir gratter avant de repeindre! Cela fait tristounet.

Quite shabby but some kind of elegance is still around...

So much detail, really worthy of renovation.

It makes one wonder what is going on here. Beautiful but shabby is right. MB

I like the heart shapes in the round window on the left! Shabby...true, but pretty as well ;-D

I sort of like it. It adds some charm, somehow.

diamond in the rough. It has a lot of potential, could be a nice bistro or some bookstore.

Greetings from Cebu Daily Photo!

I always "hear" : "Location- location" when I see photos of places that also could have been in a film.
Old and elegant!:)
