Causette sous les arbres, avenue de Sceaux

Having a comfy chat in the early evening, near the palace on avenue de Sceaux. It has been so, so hot lately that last weekend's respite due to thunderstorms was most welcome, bringing more normal seasonal temperatures. Thus, sitting on a bench in the sunshine has become a pleasure again!
---------------------------
Il a fait si chaud ces derniers temps que le weekend dernier a été un agréable moment de répit après les orages du début du weekend. Du coup, s'asseoir au soleil sous les arbres est redevenu agréable !

How lovely and as always beautiful. The last time I sat on a bench in the sunshine I had to move as the heat was literally burning through my shorts!

I think you've already found a wall in Versailles that's perfect for photographing those who pass by. I pass the torch to you! :)

A very colorful and serene shot. Makes me want to join them! Glad that your heat has alleviated somewhat.

Ours, too. We've had cloudy days and lots of rain which has kept the temps in the 80s - very nice.

Of course, we'll pay for it later with a blistering sun and lots of humidity!

Oh, and yes, crepe myrtles have a nice scent. Don't ask me what that is, though.

It has also been hot here, but that's pretty normal for us.

It did rain this afternoon. Luckily just as I got onto the green of the 18th hole.

Looks like this pair is having a nice, relaxing chat.

It's relatively mild back home in the center of the US compared to the northeast, where it is expected to hover around 37 to 39 for the next couple of days in New York, Philadelphia and Washington. This week, at least, St. Louis is conducive to a chat such as this.

I am glad the rain brought some relief. So many areas are having blistering temps while we remain very cool. I still call it shirt-sleeve weather but only in the upper 50 and low 60s. Perfect I say, but still alittle cool for July.
Sweet picture and romantic too. MB

Looks like a beautiful place to sit with the late day sun. We're expecting 38C today for a high temp (ouch!). No sitting outside for me, even on motorcycle!

We are in the grip of a brutal bit of heat here in New England. This looks like a lovely place to relax at the end of the day.

It's been hot everywhere.

Hot here in Greensboro, too. Good to remind us that trees can cool a spot by several degrees. Couldn't think of a lovelier place to stay cool than the one in your photo!

such a quaint and lovely image. I am glad you are enjoying the Sedona photos on my website. I hope all is well. I am finally getting freed up from work to start catching up on everyone's websites. I have so missed it.

Such a relaxing photo! Great scene with the pretty windows and the surrounding trees. I miss sitting outside and doing nothing...it's been raining straight for a few days now.

Nothing like a good chat with a friend. Especially on a bench outside.

It's been raining here for three days, but unlike your refreshing thunderstorms, ours just brings in more tropical heat and humidity. But the rain is needed so it's not all bad.
