Weekend Reflections: le Petit Trianon

I'm cheating: this photo of the Petit Trianon, queen Marie-Antoinette's favourite residence in the palace grounds, was taken about this time last year and isn't quite as clear as I would have liked it to be. Still, it's my contribution to James' Weekend Reflections! For all inside and outside posts of the Petit Trianon castle, click on the label below.
--------------------------------

It's very regal and solid looking. The water gives it a more playful appearance. Lovely.

I have no freaking clue as to why this is "cheating."

It's a beautiful photograph and needs to disclaimers. Just bask in its glory!

Petit Trianon is a very interesting building, although I'd have never guess it was Marie-Antoinette's favorite residence.

This is a lovely composition, Ciel. Far better to post it a year late than never to have posted it at all.

At a glance, I would never guess that this was a picture of the Petit Trianon. It made me think of some dour palace in Scotland.

It hasn't changed during the past year, has it? ;)

The building is very charming and the lawn looks so inviting!

From last year or not, this works for the Reflections meme!

I don't find it cheating at all - maybe because I do it, too :) I loved the tour of the Petit Trianon. I hope to see even more in coming posts. I especially liked the blue, gold, and white stairwell pix.

Looks like a nice place for a Feathered Squad to swim about.

Wonderful w/ building in the background and reflecting pool.

What a shabby little cottage. That poor girl must have worn ragged clothes and eaten porridge for dinner every day, too. LOL!!

Cheating is only when you post somebody else's photo.
Beautiful building and reflection.

I'm not sure what you mean about cheating as long as it's your photo and it has a reflection it's fine. :) That looks like an amazing place with lots of history. I would sure like to talk a walk around there right now.

I'll email you for sure closer do my trip. I think it would be fun to have a blogger meet-up and maybe a little picture taking. There are a couple of other Paris area photo-bloggers that seem interested.

How wonderful to live so close to ancient history. WOW! I love this photo.

I also like the name of your blog. I own a classic unique American car which is called a Lincoln Versailles. It is a beautful, elegant yet odd looking car. I'll have to post it sometime.

Happy Weekend Reflections!

Dipping into the archives is not cheating. Good thing eh? Nice composition and you could lighten it quite nicely by pulling the curve up a bit.

Oh boy, I hope it's not cheating to post older photos! I really like this, what a gorgeous building and I love the composition. Kathy
