Retour à la gypsothèque

Returning to the king's small stable which will again be exceptionally open on 2 March with some more of the Louvre museum's casts. Read about them here. There are monochrome basins on Artsy Versailles.

Retour à la petite écurie du roi qui sera de nouveau exceptionnellement ouverte le 2 mars avec d'autres moulages de la gypsothèque du Louvre. Plus d'infos par ici. Il y a des vasques sur Artsy Versailles.

You're so lucky to get this kind of access. The sculptures and architecture are magnificent!

What a fabulous place for these statues and sculptures. Makes for a great wander. Love the bottom left one, all those figures in a row...

Since I work with many people with spinal problems, I sometimes wonder how the idea of caryatids came to be. Ouch.

This is such an interesting place. Wish I could visit myself, but I'm glad to get this tour! Love your first shot and the one with the line of statues.

The Kings Small Stables are very photogenic!

Looks fabulous. Why are the small stables opened so infrequently ? I would love to see them and I don't think I can make it on 2 March.

I agree with William. Can't imagine what it would be like to actually live where such things are readily available! They're all gorgeous.

Re your question about the palm tree: I do not know. My son-in-law told me that and I meant to ask him more but forgot.

Too bad about giving blood. I used to donate all the time but not since I've gotten so old. I figure I need all I've got just to get up in the morning! :)

Treasures indeed Ciel.. wonderful to see them even if it is so rarely, most would never get to see them so it's always a thrill to see them here.

The 'exceptional' opens are the best, I can't wait to see what's available.

Sounds like we are all feeling a tad jealous that we can't see these for ourselves. But, luckily we can see them through your lens.
