Les films de Versailles

There is a new photo exhibition on the outside walls of the king's veg garden! This time, it's about films that have Versailles -whether palace or city- as setting. VDP is now trying to remember if she ever saw the 1956 Marie-Antoinette movie with Michèle Morgan, Richard Todd and Jacques Morel! There is an alley on Artsy Versailles.

Quite a collage!

I don't think I've seen that Marie Antoinette film, though I'm familiar with some of the actors.

I think I'd love this film fest! I've only seen that recent Sofia Coppola take on Marie Antoinette (it looked dazzling, but I can see why it got such mixed reviews), I'd be curious what this older one's like!

I did find a clip from this movie (Marie Antoinette) on YouTube, so maybe if you watch it, you'll remember. Looks like a classic all right.

CinemaScope brought back some good memories of my childhood. So did the name Richard Todd. Thank you.

Thank goodness the old movie channel here in the states TCM plays them. Plenty of time to catch-up.

1956 that's awhile back. I might have seen it but not til it was on TV. Movie posters are neat to look at.

The boy and girl in the pic are Mike (Cheri's son and my G-son and Kylee my g-daughter. Isn't it just a neat picture.

the stinkin' computer has been out all day yesterday until about midnight. Grrrr!!!

Looks like some oldies but goodies. I've seen one Marie Antoinette film but not this one. Richard Todd is familiar, however.

Looks like fun times in Versailles!
