L'Alhambra

Isn't the above photo fantastic? It's one of the pictures shown at the current 'cinema in Versailles' photo exhibition on the outside walls of the king's veg garden. Now of course it is also very interesting to see that the 'Alhambra' was Versailles' first cinema, opened a century ago! It has since disappeared... Below, a nice collection of Versailles set film reviews!

The three musketeers? Fantastic. What a super exhibition. I wonder how many movies have incorporated Versailles?

Re your comment on Cedar Key: There's really no surf in Cedar Key...it's on the Gulf of Mexico and is sort of protected. Unless there's a hurricane, of course, then there's a very big surf! But you wouldn't want to try surfing on a surfboard!

Love this, but it is so sad that the place disappeared.

What a coincidence, there used to be a movie theatre here called Alhambra. It has since closed down too.

They call my 2 buddies and I the Apostles... but we could live with Musketeers too! One for all; all for one!

Fabulous first shot Ciel, such a shame the Alhambra closed down, beyond restoration I guess?
