CDP February Theme Day: Umbrellas

So it's time for Theme Day in the CDP blogging community! How about a very stylish umbrella like this one, inspired by Toile de Jouy? Seen at the palace shop. Happy February and thank you so very much for all your wonderful comments yesterday!

Beautifully elegant image Ciel, so perfect for Versailles.
p.s. I seem to remember you saying you use Picasa Ciel, it's so easy to do the colour thing. Just look for the 'focal b/w' option, place the marker on the spot you want to remain coloured and the size of area and there you go, give it a try, you knew it had to be easy if I can do it haha!

That is such a lovely umbrella, and a very classic and stylish pattern indeed! (I enjoyed seeing them in previous posts too). I love when beautiful things are also useful.:)

the umbrella is beautiful, but it's blocking the view!

It is an elegant umbrella, just the kind I would expect in Versailles.

Perfect find for theme day. Looking at it...I'm wondering how it's suspended.

Looks like it's about to float away, like Mary Poppins.

If I carried an Umbrella it just might be one like that. I would be so elegant with a stylish parasol. MB

je vois que le theme day fonctionne toujours et personne ne me le dit

A vintage parasol? Tres chic!

What I love most here is your words "the palace shop."

Thérèse said...

Very stylish! Mais pas toujours quelque chose que l'on peut amener avec soi partout... :-)

I think this would fit some of the slim, stylist women I saw in Paris...looks almost Oriental, though. I'd guess the palace shop is a bit pricey?

Re your comment: The cowbells were located next to farm. Does that count?

Hope all is well with you!

Tres chic ! Mais j'aurais peur de l'abimer. Sympa comme photo pour le theme. :)

The Norwegian word for umbrella is PARAPLY, a bit like French?

Nice umbrella. I have several. And the number of lost umbrellas is high!:)

Happy weekend!

Nice umbrella!

I could have used an umbrella when I took the Weekend Reflections photo.

I'll be in your part of the world in about a month. :-)

Ah il est beau! Mais ca ne porte pas malheur, d' ouvrir un pepin a l' interieur?
