Relents d'enfance

This butcher-poultry shop reminds me of my childhood with its typical sixties or seventies front.

Ce boucher me rappelle mon enfance avec cette devanture assez typée...

And of course I am interested for the yellow and red color of this storefront from the 60s...

Fabulous, Ciel. I just changed my desktop settings to point toward some photos I took near Arles and Avignon a few years ago, and two of the photos are of a yellow and a red storefront similar to this one. Love it.

Neat colors, definitely retro. I like store that keep to their original decor, it's fun to reminisce.

60's and 70's architecture is rather forgettable, in my view, except the colors save this facade.

You showed a butcher shop today, and Steffe from Hanige, Sweden showed a butcher.

In this fast paced, ever evolving world, it is comforting to know some things haven't changed too much. Hope you have a splendid weekend :^)

I love the seventies with their bold use of color! Does Boucherie mean butcher? :D

Having moved from Texas to the northeast - I don't see things anymore that remind me of growing up, everything looks so different here. I miss that.

I told my husband I wanted to learn to speak French. When I tried to pronounce something in french with my Texas accent he said I could single-handledly destroy french culture!! :-)

It has some sort of a retro style...
And I remember a few butcher shops here in Stavanger.
Not that many left these days.
