Etonnante facade avec cette figure decorative. Les bonnes odeurs de la boulangerie doivent monter chez lui.

i don't think i would be looking up. i'd have my eyes leaping from one treat to another and never notice the treat above the bakery windows.

It is a nice face that goes with the nice balcony and railing.

Pretty indeed.

One thing I always want to know about a pretty face is whether or not there is any substance behind it, so I must ask about the food: Is it good?

Silly question! I know it's good!

We have almost nothing like these shops. Maybe a handful in New York and Boston. Nothing close here if fly-over country. But then I'll be in France in three weeks.

I love the ribbons and bust. We don't see that style much, if at all. It is impressive that there is so much adornment in a small and simple business like a bakery.

Les volets sont fermes, le patissier a pris ses vacances du mois d'aout.

Closed shutters, empty balcony, but I can smell the aroma of the baking bread below...(teasing you)

Nice balcony and interesting face. It may be hard to live above a patisserie: a continue temptation!

Oooo, yes, I love the face and the interesting play of light and shadow. You caught the sun at just the right angle to reveal the wonderful textures and designs above this bakery.

I really like the ironwork on the balcony but it looks a little busy with the shutters behind it.
