For CDP Theme Day yesterday, I was showing you the queen of Belgium's red bedroom at the Grand Trianon castle. Let's stay there for another day, the bed and these vases (?) are reflected in the mirror for James' Weekend Reflections.

A friend of mine said everyone should have a red room. This definitely qualifies. Nice shots, both yesterday and today.
Those are vases? They look kind of like funeral urns I've seen here, but fancier. :-) Love the red and blue.

I love these red things. Magnificance and splendour. Be nice to spend the night there.
Cheers.

It's so clear and so nicely arranged, I thought there were four vases. I live amid quite funky (artistic, in my eyes) furnishings, but I have to say that unlike another commenter, I really could sleep in a room like that! I love seeing these pix and dreaming!
They are massive vases! They would look spectacular with an equally massive flower arrangement in them. Very beautiful and ornate.
I like the table, too. One wonders how many hours of labor were involved in putting it together and what the cost was...
Yesterday's photo was a gem. Today's is even better.
Julie would agree with the comment about red rooms. Last year she had some of the walls in our house (in Scottsdale, not the Costa Rica condos) painted a deep Chinese red, and some of the other walls painted eggplant.
Sèvres(?)vases with ormolu mounts! Quintessentially French and oh, so elegant. And a reflection to boot. Lovely photo.
Such elegance in today and yesterday's photos!
Exquisite, Ciel!
At first I thought the vase were four, so the reflection is realy perfect and deceiving.
Great catch! I thought it was 4 also and not the reflections of 2.
Happy Easter in case I forget in a couple days or don't have time. . .
love the way you use the mirror here, Ciel.
Very elegant. My Mother would approve. She always uses red in a room and she painted her front door bright red and it look magnificent. MB
I haven't seen those vases in IKEA!!!!
I should think it might take more than a day or two just to find your way out.
I'm happy to spend another day in such a beautiful room. Is there room service?
Happy Easter.
Such opulence and grandeur! I wonder what life would be like in such places...guess I'll never know. Beautiful reflections, Ciel!
I like the reality like deception that this reflection gives - you have to really look to see what's reflected and what's not.
I have agree with others, it is a beautiful room, however, the mirror creating a deception of more glasses on the tray and expanding the room is the wonderful part of this photo. I really had to look!
I commented but I got an error measage. Sorry if this is a duplicate.
I basically said that I like the reflection and it's a really fancy room. I can see the headboard and canopy from yesterday's post in the reflection.
Happy Easter!
Des réflections très créatives, en effet. (J'aurais bien aimé avoir des vases pareilles.:)
Regarding your comment: the Tulip bulbs are grown in Skagit Valley to be harvested (the bulbs) and sold all over the world. Two farms, Washington bulb company/Roozengard company and DeGeode Farms grow bulbs on a few thousand acres. When the flowers are 4 weeks old the plants are tops and the petals quickly disposed of and then in the mid summer the bulbs are harvested and sold everywhere. You should come here the first part of April and see the valley. HOPEFULLY SEE YOU SUMMERTIME. MB
A full-length (mirror) view! This was not for everyone. Thank you for sharing.
Elegant shot. Royalty never wanted for anything did they.
Very fancy! I love them but just don't have any place in my home for them. Besides, they make a great reflection where they are!
Fanciful and great reflections!
This is a very nice depiction of the room. My wife and have walked through here, of course, but living this way seems so weird - the privileged and pampered in a fishbowl.
At first I didn't realize that there were only two vases. Really nice capture and eye.

Wow, that is quite the opulent room! I like the way you used the reflections in your composition.
What a wonderful photo. It is amazing some people actually lived with this kind of richness every day. Wow!
