Coming soon

As in many French and indeed European cities, Morris columns act as billboards for movies, plays etc., here announcing a new movie about Coco Chanel with Audrey Tautou, whom you probably know as Amélie Poulain...
-------------------------------
Comme dans de nombreuses villes françaises et européennes, ce sont les colonnes Morris qui annoncent les sorties à venir...

I like the columns. Kind of tasteful for advertising, which is surprising. Can't wait to see the movie.

I first saw these advertisements in Paris and discovered that I liked them very much. They are colorful and informative but not overbearing...

Nice shot, CQ!

Nothing like that on this side of the Atlantic. We just have huge billboards.

Thanks for your recent notes. We cannot wait for our arrival in Paris Friday morning.

J'ai tout de suite remarqué cela Dimanche.
Ca donne un côté "parisien" comme la grande ville, sa voisine.
Pour couronner le tout Versailles écrit en lettres d'or ! Ma chère !

A very styled use of marketing and great background!

The life time channel here in the U.S. had a televison movie about CoCo starring Shirley Maclaine this year. It was pretty interesting.

A very nice way to advertise. Wish we had them. Tasteful, too.

We have them here too, with armillary spheres around the top. About the movie, I definitelly will watch it when it's released. Love Coco and Audrey 'Amélie Poulain' Tatou! :-)

Europeans are quite creative with their advertising. And by the way - I love Audrey! She is a great actress. And I LOVED "Amelie." I own the soundtrack, which was also fantastic. Quite unique, too.

I love these street "accessories". They change an ordinary street to something much nicer.

I love Audrey, too. I'll watch her in any role. Usually she plays such enchanting characters but I've seen her when she's played less than lovable roles and she's still mesmerizing. I also never knew the name for the pole. This is a great shot, CQ.

You captured the first advertising pillar that pleases me. So it is indeed a elegant announcing of the "Coco Chanel" movie.

I have never seen columns like that advertising and I kinda like the idea. Colorful but don't pollute the environment. I hadn't yet heard of that movie. . .

Forgot to wish you a very Happy Easter.

I bet the movie about Coco Chanel is fascinating! Neat way to advertise movies.

Love that one! They have them in San Francisco and I think they are very attractive.

I like the unique top of the column:)

I like Audrey Tatou a lot, Amelie is one of my favourite films. I was a bit disappointed that she was in the Da Vinci Code, which was a total turkey, but I'll try not to hold it against her! ;)

I did enjoy these billboards, a more pleasant way to read these advertisements.
