A sideways glance at the royal chapel altar

Well, I've decided to make you wait a bit before I tell you what I was doing at the royal chapel on my half day off work! Instead, to put you into the mood, here's a detail of the amazing gold and marble altar!
------------------------------

I was stunned by the incredible works of art and carvings and, well, everything at Versailles - just everywhere we went. The people who created all of these things were indeed geniuses of creativity.

Have a great weekend!

Exquisite detail.

The ornate details of the decor are magnificent. How lucky you are to have the opportunity to not only visit but watch a concert and leave work early. I'm jealous.
