Le Petit Trianon, acte II, scène III
This is Marie-Antoinette's bedroom and adjoining cabinet. Or rather, was... ---------------------------- Ceci est la chambre de Marie-Antoinette et le cabinet qui la jouxte. Enfin, ce fut...
Not very different from my bedroom. In particular we share same baldachin ;-) --- I really love the chandelier switched on contraposed to the daylight coming from the window
Some of the design has carried over from the Palace, obviously - which makes sense. Wouldn't you enjoy going back in time, at least for a little while and experience what life was like back then (for a little while!)?
The bedroom reminded me just a tad of the bedrooms at the Seven Sisters Inn...well, not the colors, exactly...or maybe not at all.
excellent photos to capture the style and ambience of marie Antoinette. I like the staircase from yesterday also. I am glad you enjoyed the dancing Chihuly on my site today. It was hard to capture it just right so it looked like dancers. I am also glad you enjoyed the resort photos at the Scottsdale Fairmont. Definitely a nice place to enjoy too.
what beautiful rooms.. butz be carefull did the museum allow to you to send .. in france you are not alowed to take a photo from the tout de eiffel .. owner is paris.- you need some pwrmission .. only one can tell it that you are online with them and your parents have t pay much .. take care PLEASE
Wow very unique and original. Don't see anything like this anymore. Everything is so modernized and streamlined. We lost so much character over the years.
What a lovely place! That is one thing I love about Europe - visiting the stately homes of royalty and other famous rich folks. It's so awe-inspiring to see how they lived even then.

...or rather there is a magic and incident light in Marie-Antoinette's bedroom.
Good idea to use the mirrors in these compositions. Makes for interesting angles.

Peace!
Beautifully furnished and a wonderful floor too.
Sooooo beautiful it is! I love the "tour" you gave us!
belle composition sur la 1ere photo avec le miroir. Belle chambre, c'était bon d'être reine (bon, sauf sur la fin)
Beau comme un merveilleux conte de fées qui finirait mal.
In this wonderful room she would be dream about love! :-)

The floor looks like it is very intricate.
