December City Daily Photo Theme Day: shop window

Costumes et Châteaux Versailles
December. VDP's favourite month. And thanks to VDP's Viennese friend Vreni, the Theme Day of the first of the month in the City Daily Photo blogging community is... a girly thing (well, sort of, sorry gents!) This is Costumes et Châteaux (costumes and castles), a fairly new shop right next to Saint Louis cathedral. VDP loooooves the concept: they take your picture in period dress, a period setting with period props! It's a wonderful souvenir for Marie-Antoinette loving tourists and also fun for locals. Lots of pics today, so so sorry but VDP had... yeah, a ball taking them!! The website of Costumes et Châteaux is this way. All takes on the theme are this way. Happy December and happy Advent!

I can see why a lot of people (of all ages) would like this place. Love your photos, too. You've captured well the shop's uniqueness and "coolness."

I'm sure this is going to be a booming business! I'd love to have my photo done in one of those fancy costumes. Did you and Vreni try on some dresses?
This is my favorite window so far. :)

Great shots. All that's missing is the one with you in costume.

Now I want to see YOU in one of those costumes, discreetly anonymous, of course! Cool pictures!

I love December too. The costumes look very elegant. I am sure the shop will draw lots of people to have their picture taken.

A very fine display.

That is sure a clever idea, but, no, you would not find me in one of their costumes.

Great looking shop.

Quite a bit classier than the ones we have along the boardwalk at the beach.

What a gem of a shop. Looks so inviting and a fun place to get a suitable costume for a special event.
