Enfilade

Looking towards the palace (through the second arch) from the king's stables, now housing la Maréchalerie, Versailles' contemporary art centre and architecture school. I waited, in vain, for the car to move...

Un regard vers le château (juste visible au travers de la deuxième arche) depuis les petites écuries du roi qui abritent la Maréchalerie, le centre d'art contemporain et l'école d'architecture. J'ai attendu, en vain, que la voiture bouge...

Well, at least the car gives a sense of scale. (I'm trying to look on the bright side.) I love the sun and shadows in this shot.

Ah, I just blocked the car out of my head!! I, too, love the sun and shadows! Terrific capture as always, Ciel!! Have a great week!

Ich finde auch, dass das Auto ein guter Punkt ist für das Auge um die Größe zu verstehen.
Eine wunderbare Umwelt in der du da lebst.
Eine gute neue Woche dir.

A shame. It distracted my eye from an otherwise lovely golden hour view. On the other hand, be glad you weren't standing in the stables.

This is beautiful. The car doesn't bother me. I like seeing some life in the photo, including the figures to the left of the car.

Utterly gorgeous! I love the warm tones and didn't mind the car at all, it was a nice glimpse of how present meets past in your corner of the world.

I like this point of view. The sunlight really warms the stables.

I love it Ciel, all the arches set my pulses racing!
P.s. I bet the car moved the minute you disappeared around the corner!

Nicely-composed, Ciel, with great light! Isn't it frustrating when people get in the way of what you want to do photographically? It seems they are so damn dense! :)

J'aime beaucoup le jeu d'ombre et de lumière sur la façade..

Beautiful and nicely framed.

I love the arches and the car helps to show how tall they are. Pretty golden sunlight and wedge of blue sky!

I rather like the car there. It gives a better sense of the space and scale. Love the arches and the shadows.

An elegant perspective, we use an almost identical word (infilata) for this. I have been waiting for many cars like this one to go away: the almost never do...

Beautiful photo, very well composed and with a wonderful light. The car doesn't bother me in this case, on the contrary.

I enjoy photos like this, Ciel --- shooting through one arch to another. It's not easy to pull off. I like the car in the car because it provides scale. The King's stables are huge.
