Street names/noms de rues I

Posting early again. The scheduling problem affects the old and the new Blogger interface. So... what do these people, with the exception of Saint Lazarus, have in common? The palace of course! Let's see... To Charles Le Brun (strangely spelled in one word on this sign) Versailles owes the ceiling of the famous hall of mirrors. Boulevard de la reine, of course, is the queen's boulevard. Pierre de Nolhac was the historian, art historian and poet who became curator of the palace in 1892. You all know king Louis XIV by now... VDP is taking a break, see you soon!

Very pretty signs, I have always liked the style, and have even some images from Paris similar to yours.

Again, HAPPY HOLIDAY!

When ever we travel, I am always fascinated by street names... they say much about the character of a place.
